Miami Book Fair is more than a great festival, it is a community brought together by shared passion for books and reading, and for making Miami a great place to live.
The Fair has been making culture in Miami since 1984, always true to its founding principles of inclusion, so that anyone, from anywhere, can participate in the culture of ideas. All of us at Miami Book Fair (from founder Dr. Eduardo J. Padron and Mitchell Kaplan, to staff, to volunteers) feel great pride in the Fair's role as cultural and civic standard-bearer, but even more pride in the Fair's role in uniting community. They are grateful to everyone who comes together to make this Fair happen year after year. With the support of many organizations and loyal sponsors, the organizers were able to offer programs and events that celebrated stories and the people who live them. Because when we celebrate stories, we celebrate life.
